Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about your eSIM, setup, and usage.

Can I use my eSIM for hotspot/tethering?

Yes, most eSIMs support hotspot/tethering. However, this may vary by provider and region. If your plan doesn’t allow it, you’ll see a warning before activation.

Is it only data, or can I make calls and send SMS?

Our eSIMs are data-only unless stated otherwise. You can still use internet-based calling apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Telegram for calls and messages.

How long does it take to receive my eSIM?

You’ll receive your eSIM instantly after payment — a QR code will be shown on-screen and sent to your email.

Can I install the eSIM before traveling?

Yes! You can install it before your trip, but don’t activate it until you land in the destination country to avoid using roaming data early.

How do I activate my eSIM?

After scanning the QR code, your phone will guide you through setup. Once active, you’ll automatically connect to the local network when you arrive. Click here to read a full guide.

What if my eSIM doesn’t work?

First, check that mobile data and data roaming are enabled. If you still face issues, contact support — we’ll help you reconnect or issue a refund if the plan fails to activate.

How do I unlock my phone?

Can I get a refund?

Yes, refunds are available for unused or faulty eSIMs that haven’t been activated. Once an eSIM is active, refunds aren’t possible as it’s tied to your device.

Will my phone support an eSIM?

Most modern phones do! iPhone XR and later, Pixel 3 and later, and most Samsung Galaxy S20+ and newer models support eSIMs. You can check in Settings → Mobile Network → Add eSIM.
